I would like to say thank you to everyone for your kind words and thoughts during this difficult time for my family and me. I really appreciate the outpouring of those individuals who was able to attend my mother’s service. My mom was so loved and even though my heart aches of selfishness that she is gone; I know I will miss her terribly; it makes me smile to see all the individuals that joined us for her going home as well as all the cards, flowers and calls received over the past week. Not onl…

The day will come when my body will lie upon a white sheet neatly tucked under four corners of a mattress located in a hospital. At a certain moment, a doctor will determine that my brain has ceased to function and that, for all intents and purposes, my life on earth has ended.
When that happens, do not attempt to instill artificial life into my body by the use of machines and, don't call it my deathbed. Let it be called the Bed of Life and, let the parts of my body be taken from it to help oth…

I ask that you pray for my family. A couple of weeks ago, my in-laws went on vacation back home to Portland, Oregon to visit friends and family. Well on thursday she said she did'nt feel good and that she was going to get checked out. On sunday we recieved a call from the hospital saying that she had terminal cancer that had spread throughout her body and that there was nothing that could be done. The doctors were giving her no more than two days to live. At that point I flew my wife Michelle up…

PSALMS 139:1-10
IN THE EARLY DAYS THERE USED TO BE AN ALL TIME FAVORITE CHILDHOOD GAME CALLED “HIDE AND SEEK” A GROUP OF KIDS WOULD GET TOGETHER IN THE HOUSE OR OUTSIDE AND PLAY THE GAME CALLED HIDE AND SEEK, IT DIDN’T MATTER HOW MANY KIDS PLAYED, BECAUSE EVERYONE LOVED THE GAME AND EVERYONE THOUGHT THEY HAD THE BEST HIDING PLACE.
ONE PERSON WOULD COVER THEIR EYES AND COUNT (USUALLY TO 10), WHILE THE OTHERS WOULD SCATTER TO HIDE. ONCE THE COUNTER WAS DONE COUNTING HE OR SHE WOULD “SHOUT READY…

Cold days, late nights. My Home was located where a street light beemed right into our kitchen window
cold nights frosted the windows, yet the heat from inside kept us safe. I remember sitting in the kitchen with the lights off....staring at that street light and watch the snow flakes fall... I remember wishing I can be like that, not have a direction....just fall...the dark streets became a white ground. slow, falling through out the night you wake up to snow up high....shoveling....is the only…

Now with all the reunions going on I'm starting to think back on our high school years and as I remembered, we were all sort of lost, in high school. Running Around ,looking for something, but none of us knew what it was. It all made for some crazy times. Times spent cramming and filling our brains while in school and waiting for the weekend. Being out on Friday & Saturday nights with friends or in some girl's/boy's basement rec-room with the lights low. Times driving our dad's car way to fa…

The musical community has been rocked by the loss of an icon that has touched the lives of millions of people across the world. I was stunned. I am still stunned beyond belief. MJ wasn't quite the icon that he used to be given his recluse after his trial for child molestation, b…

How could someone that loud slip away so quietly?! It is now been a month and a half and I can still hear her funny laugh when I think about her. It was not an unexpected time for her death, but I was not ever prepared for it! On my way to the wake I still couldn't believe it. I, as…

I wish all of the Christians much happiness as they celebrate this holiday, but it is important to note that not everyone who went to Roosevelt was or is a Christian.
I am not, never have been. But I recieve emails about Christ through The Rossevelt Round-Up site.

"It ' s okay to Quit....."
1. Quit arguing with people about the same old foolishness! Respect their position and keep it moving!
2. Quit telling people your secrets when you know they are not going to keep them! And if you keep telling them, then quit getting mad when they tell your secrets!
3. Quit trying to pull people on your journey who don't want to travel with you. Either they believe in you and value you...or they don't!
4. Quit complaining about things you can't and won't change!…

This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.
One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.
That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver.
As she watched the silversmith, he he…
